ProBono Initiative

Justice that Reaches Everyone
Because justice should never come with a price tag.

Welcome to the McCray Stewart & Associates Pro Bono Initiative Program.

At McCray Stewart & Associates, PLLC, we firmly believe that access to quality legal services is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Our firm is committed to assisting low-income adults in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex through our comprehensive pro bono program.

What is the Pro Bono Initiative?

Our Pro Bono Initiative provides complimentary legal services in selected practice areas, specifically designed to address the urgent needs of individuals and families in Texas who lack the financial resources to secure legal representation. From estate planning to record expungement and uncontested family law matters, we are dedicated to helping you navigate your legal challenges with compassion and expertise.

Who qualifies?

To be eligible for our services, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be 55 years of age or older or have a qualifying disability.

  2. Be a resident of Texas, specifically within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

  3. Be a U.S. citizen or a qualified non-citizen.

  4. Meet specific income and asset limits based on the 2025 Texas Medicaid Long-Term Care Eligibility for Seniors.

What you need to Apply:

  1. Monthly payment amounts for rent, mortgage, and/or utilities.

  2. Proof of citizenship or immigration status.

  3. Proof of income, such as pay stubs or W-2s.

  4. Verification of any other government benefits you receive.

  5. A copy of your existing Will, if you have one.

Before you begin the online application for a free comprehensive estate plan, please ensure you have all necessary documents ready. The application involves a series of questions about your income, assets, household members, and specific estate planning needs.

Once we review your application, a member of the McCray Stewart & Associates team will reach out to you via email, text, or phone to schedule a consultation and gather any additional information needed. If you do not qualify for our services, we will notify you by email.

Please be aware that we receive more requests for assistance than we can fulfill. As a result, submitting your application does not guarantee that we will be able to provide support. By moving forward, you acknowledge and agree that completing this application does not ensure approval for our services.
